Das U-Boot WILHELM BAUER (ehemals U 2540) wurde 1945 auf der Werft Blohm & Voss als Kriegsschiff gebaut. Heute liegt es als Museumsschiff im Alten Hafen von Bremerhaven. 1983 übernahm das Kuratorium zur Förderung des Deutschen Schiffahrtsmuseums e.V. das U-Boot. Es wird heute vom Verein Technikmuseum U-Boot WILHELM BAUER e.V . unterhalten.

Visited museum end of season, almost no tourists. Young people can learn a lot how tight and different it is in a u boot. This one is 100 times better than the U Boot in Pearl Harbour. Right next door is sailboats and the indoor museum. Spend all day here. Admission is cheap compare to American museums.
